200 jobs to be lost at Frasers Group

Up to 200 jobs could be slashed at Frasers Group’s Shirebrook headquarters and in London as the retail giant tries to streamline processes.

20% of its head office employees are said to be at risk of redundancy, with the business entering a consultation period with those affected.

Frasers Group said that the company has “gone through significant change in the last year, having made a number of strategic acquisitions, and accelerated progress against [its] elevation strategy.”

It added that it is reviewing team structures to “identify efficiencies and streamline processes.” According to Frasers Group the changes will ensure it has the “right structure and talent to support continuing profitable growth.”

The news follows reports in May that the company was potentially on the verge of buying the stock and intellectual property assets of ProBikeKit from THG.
