HMRC wrongly refund voluntary Class 2 National Insurance payments

This incorrect refunding may have significant effect on many individuals in the future when the time comes to receive their state pension and other contributory benefits. Each year, Class 2 National Insurance is collected via self assessment returns and payments transferred through self assessment to each individual’s National Insurance record by HMRC.
